Experience the Magic of Vague Notion

 Vague Notion is a BC-based indietronica duo blending post-punk tension with cinematic synth-pop textures and jazz overtones. Formed in 2013 in Nelson, the project merges analog warmth and digital precision with real instruments building adventurous soundscapes full of groove and phat bass. 

   Their track “Base Sick” was professionally adjudicated by Juno Award–winning and Grammy-nominated musician Michael Hanson (Glass Tiger) to high acclaim.

 Building on that foundation, their newer track “Peace Dub” climbed to #4 on both Valley FM in Australia and Phoenix FM in the UK, further establishing the duo’s presence across international indie radio circuits.  More recently their song 'Visceral Reaction' climbed to #4 at Phoenix FM in the UK. As well, 'We Made It So' went to #5 at Valley FM in Canberra Australia in April 2026.

 Their current stand out  EP GLOW continues to enthrall their listeners all around the world.
